What is the cost of attending?

Are there discounts available?
For the 2024 Conference and Workshops, we offer several discounts:
- SNEC Member discount. SNEC members save $75 on all tickets. SNEC members must login to the web site prior to registering to obtain this discount - see next FAQ.
- Student Discount. If you are full-time, matriculated undergraduate student, a steeply discounted rate is available to allow you to attend the event. We will require proof of full-time enrollment to retain this discount. Contact us prior to registering via email at: [email protected] if you have any questions on whether you qualify for this discount.
How do I log in to the SNEC Website to receive my member discount?
In order to receive your member discount, you must LOGIN to the SNEC web site PRIOR TO REGISTERING for events.
Your username on the SNEC web site is your PMI Username and your password is your PMI password, i.e. please login using the same credentials you'd use to login to www.pmi.org.
Please Note: If you are a newly joined SNEC member, please allow 2-3 business days for PMI to process your membership and notify us of your eligibility for member discount. You'll receive an email from our website that notifies you that your account is active.

What are the registration deadlines?
To ensure your spot at the conference, it is important to register early. Space is limited and no walk-ins will be permitted the day of the events.
Registration closes on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Midnight.
Registrations are accepted online to expedite processing and ensure completeness of the form. Please click the register button to begin. If you cannot register online, please e-mail us at [email protected]. We will work with you to determine if alternative registration options are feasible.
There will be no onsite registration for either the workshop or conference programs. All registrations must be completed online and paid for prior to the event registration closing date of April 5, 2024.
Can I use a form of payment other than a credit card?
Online Credit Card payment is the primary forms of payment for the conference. More information is available at the registration site. If you cannot pay via credit card, please e-mail us at [email protected].
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If an individual cancellation is needed, please contact [email protected]. Note: There is a 10% cancellation fee that will be subtracted from your refund to cover administrative fees. No refunds will be given after 4/5/2024.
In the event of inclement weather for any day of the event, a cancellation decision will be made by 5:00 am that day. If the event is cancelled, registered participants will be notified of the cancellation via email. A cancellation notice will also be submitted to local broadcast media. Information on a reschedule date or refund notice will be sent via email.

What do I need to do on the Day of the Event?
Whether you are attending the full-day conference, the half-day workshop, or both days, parking is adjacent to the Convention Center. There is ample signage with the Convention Center to lead you to the event check-in. You may wish to bring a copy of your registration confirmation email to expedite check-in.
At check-in, you will receive your name badge, event program and other items assembled to support your participation throughout the program.
During the event, the Conference Committee will staff an Information Station. Volunteers will be available to assist should you have questions, or if you wish to provide personal feedback regarding the event.

What are the hours for Monday's Conference?
Registration and a Networking Breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. The general conference schedule begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. A post-conference networking reception will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
What are the hours for Tuesday's Workshop?
Registration and a Networking Breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. The workshop schedule will begin at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m.

What are the benefits of attending one of the workshops?
The special 4-hour workshops focus on topics intended to provide deeper learning of specific areas of project management and or professional development. Learn from informed presenters who have experience facing many of the same challenges you may be encountering right now.

When and where is the conference?
The sixteenth SNEC-PMI Professional Development Conference 2024 will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center located in Hartford, Connecticut on April 8th and April 9th, 2024.

Parking, Hotel and other Travel Information
Is there parking available? What are the rates?
Ample parking is available at the Connecticut Convention Center. A map is available for your convenience. The conference center also advertises outside parking for over sized vehicles.
What hotels are in the closest proximity to the Convention Center?
The Hartford Marriott Downtown is located at 200 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT 06103. It is located adjacent from the Connecticut Convention Center and is a convenient 20 minute drive from the Bradley International Airport. The Hartford Marriott Downtown offers a discounted room rate of $239 for our event. Please register for the hotel via telephone, please call this phone number: 860-279-8000 and state you'd like a room in the 'PMI Southern New England Chapter Block'. Alternatively, you can register online by clicking here.
Other hotels are also available in downtown Hartford, but do not have SNEC discounts rates.
The closest commercial airport is Bradley International Airport (airport code BDL).
SNEC annually reserves a room block for conference attendees at the Hartford Marriott Downtown with a group rate. These rooms are limited, so we recommend making your reservations well in advance. You can make reservations by calling this this phone number: 860-279-8000 and state you'd like a room in the 'PMI Southern New England Chapter Block'. Alternatively, you can register online at this link.
Do I have to stay at the hotel?
While it is recommended due to the proximity to the conference, it is not a requirement to book a room at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

How can I become PMI certified?
Project Management Institute credentials comes in many forms, with the most well known being the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. More information on training programs and certification options can be found on the national PMI website.
We want you to be comfortable - business casual is perfect for this event! As room temperatures can vary, a light jacket or sweater may come in handy.
