 Steve Teebagy
Candidate for Board of Directors

Background
I have over 10 years experience building and maintaining mutually beneficial business partnerships with small, mid-market and large enterprise businesses throughout New England. While I do not have a traditional project management background, I have strong experience developing and executing professional business plans, leading and coordinating teams of cross-functional resources and owning bottom-line responsibility for project-based technology implementations and customer satisfaction.

I've recently joined William George Associates (a PMI Registered Education Provider and Platinum Sponsor of the May 2nd SNEC-PMI Conference) as Connecticut Director of Business Development, and am responsible for all WGA business activities locally. Previously, as Solutions Principal for EMC Corporation Global Services here in CT, I was directly involved in scope definition, statement-of-work development and execution oversight for dozens of application development and other IT projects. Prior to joining EMC, I was an account manager for Microsoft Corporation here in New England for over 5 years, during which time I organized and ran numerous successful marketing campaigns and business events.

I graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Wellesley, MA, with an interdisciplinary major in Management Information Systems and Marketing. I am currently accumulating the requisite PM training contact hours in order to sit for the CAPM exam, and aspire to continue toward PMP certification in the coming year.

What Steve can offer SNEC-PMI
I believe my professional commitment here in CT to the advancement of the Project Management profession (through People, Process and Tools development), marketing experience and proven success in building relationships would make me a valuable contributor to the SNEC-PMI Board of Directors. While I am open to any/all assignments that the BoD would like for me to pursue, unquestionably I would be well-suited to activities involving PM community outreach, development and/or training initiatives, marketing program and event execution and partnership efforts with local PM-focused business partners and vendors. What I may lack in direct project management expertise, I certainly make up for in passion, energy and a commitment to personal and professional improvement.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and the opportunity to serve the local PMI chapter.
