Scrum is simple to understand, yet can be hard to do well.  The Product Owner (PO) role is central to effectiveness with Scrum and Agile.  Product Owners are responsible for maximizing the value of the work of teams producing products.  The PO skillset spans: leading product / project development teams; balancing internal and external stakeholder needs; and managing expectations and projections from vision through product release. Neglecting this key role gravely undermines an organization’s ability to achieve the promised Outcomes of Agile & Scrum.

Such skills are hard to learn via lecture - so this workshop is hands-on and interactive.  It lays the foundation for Agile Business Leadership using the Scrum Framework.  Short, focused presentations will cover concepts and practices.  Students will reinforce each concept and skill through immersive exercises.  This dynamic workshop prepares students with actionable knowledge, skills and behaviour as well as initial experience, going well beyond simply transcribing requirements.  They’ll be able to not only explain Scrum to clients or in interviews, they’ll be prepared to help their teams and programs apply these concepts to become resilient, learning organizations, able to thrive in today’s emerging markets.

And More!

Students who successfully complete this course will become Certified Scrum Product Owners (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance.  Your course fee also includes a two-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, the largest, most established and influential professional membership and certification organization in the Agile community.

This course also earns 15 PDUs AND 15 of the 21 contact hours needed for a PMI-ACP credential.

This virtual Zoom Class will be held on 12/1, 12/3, 12/8 and 12/9 from 5:15PM – 9 PM ET – no worries of social distancing.

Pre requisite: This class requires a computer capable of video and audio, i.e. you will need to be seen and heard on Zoom. A headset is recommended
