Robert K. Bryant, PMP

Rob's career as a Project Manager and Program Manager started in 1994 and has spanned the financial services, retirement services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and travel industries. Since his first project management assignment at American Airlines he's expanded his capabilities at several companies including Convergys Corporation, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company and Travelers. He is currently a Senior Project Manager in Commercial Lines at The Hartford in Windsor, Connecticut. He earned a BBA in Finance from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York and an MBA with concentration in IT and e-Business from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. Rob lives in North Granby, Connecticut with his wife Kimberly, his son Kurt and two dogs - Zeus and Poseidon. He also enjoys serving as Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 125 in Granby.

 

Charles Jones, PMP

Charles is currently employed as the Strategy & Risk Manager for The United Illuminating Company, an electric distribution utility. He has over 20 years of experience in project management in a variety of business environments. During his career, he has developed and implemented project management capability improvement initiatives, led PM training & mentoring, and managed projects at all levels of the organization. Charles is a certified PM trainer and regularly teaches a variety of project management classes.

In addition to his certification as a PMP, Charles is a member of the PMI Leadership Institute Class of '05 and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional. He holds a Mastery Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

Tom McCabe, PMP and Joyce Brown, PMP

Tom McCabe and Joyce Brown are managing directors of W. W. Mentorprises, Inc. (WWM), a Connecticut corporation. Their company specializes in the project management and quality arenas, where they offer services including curriculum development, publishing, professional training and certifications, academic instruction, consulting, and owner's representative / construction management.

Prior to forming their company, Tom held a number of positions in the Financial Services and IT arenas for several global financial institutions. Joyce was an operations executive specializing in logistics, construction, security, production and manufacturing. Both Tom and Joyce also have experience as consulting managers with Big 4 Consulting firms; Joyce in a Retail / Wholesale industry practice and Tom in an e-Infrastructure Practice.

Tom holds a B.S. in business administration from Fordham University and a Masters Certificate in project management from George Washington University's School of Business and Public Management. He maintains certifications as: a Project Management Professional (PMP®) from PMI®; a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CSSMBB®) from the Harrington Institute, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, Inc. He was a co-founder of PMI's eBusiness Specific Interest Group and formerly served as its chairman & executive advisory chair. He also served as vice-chairman of programs for PMI's Program Management Office, and Financial Services, Specific Interest Groups.

Joyce holds a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University and a M.B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University. She is a PMP® as well as a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®)

 Joe Ursone, PMP, MCP, CSM, SPC

joe ursone3Joe is a consulting manager at BlumShapiro Consulting with over 35 years of project & program management experience in Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Non-profit Organizations and Government Entities.  He has been an Adjunct Professor for Project Management at the University of New Haven and Western New England University. Joe has been a PMP Exam Preparation Instructor for SNEC-PMI since 2009, has lectured at the New England School of Banking at Williams College and presented at SNEC-PMI conferences and chapter meetings. He holds a Master Certificate in Project Management; George Washington University, is a Microsoft Certified Professional for MS Project & MS Project Server and is also a Certified Scrum Master and SAFe Program Consultant. Joe is a former Board Officer for the CT Down Syndrome Congress and former Board Member on The New England School of Banking at Williams College.
