SNEC is pleased to offer the SAFe SA Course in Farmington, CT. This 2-day intensive course will be held on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday July 16, 2017, from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. 

In this two-day Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe) training course, you will gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise-level Agile transformation by leveraging SAFe and its underlying principles of Lean thinking and Product Development Flow. Prior knowledge of Agile and Scrum is required.  You will leave with an understanding of how the principles and practices of the framework support Lean Thinking, Agile Development, SAFe ScrumXP, Agile Release Train, Agile Portfolio Management, Agile Architecture, and Scaling Leadership.

This course is a requirement for those seeking certification as a Scaled Agile Framework Agilist (SA). Upon completion, participants will complete the exam to receive their Scaled Agilist (SA) Certification.

Who should attend: Executives, Managers, Agile Change Agents, Others responsible for leading a Lean|Agile change initiative in the larger software enterprise.

The SAFE SA course will include:

  1. Intro to SAFe: Introduction to the Scaled Agile Framework™
  2. Lean Thinking: An overview of Lean Software Development and Product Development Flow
  3. Agile Development: Application of Agile development in the enterprise context. Business Benefits
  4. SAFe ScrumXP: An experiential walkthrough of "SAFe ScrumXP", focusing on scalable technical, project management and economic prioritization practices that enable scaling to the program and portfolio level
  5. Agile Release Train: Identification, implementation and execution of Agile Release Trains — long-lived programs whereby teams-of-agile-teams optimize quality and velocity delivery for the enterprises larger value streams
  6. Agile Portfolio Management: Agile transformational patterns for Strategy and Investment Funding, Program Management, and Governance
  7. Agile Architecture: Principles of Agile Architecture, role of System and Enterprise Architects, and Architecting with Flow
  8. Scaling Leadership: Scaling Enterprise Lean | Agile leadership

Savvy Katham Savvy Katham is a Dynamic Agile Coach, Mentor, and Trainer with strong technical background having more than 10 years of IT & Software Development experience. She is a proven strategic leader on utilizing agile techniques while facilitating the adaptive SaaS products.

Savvy is also a seasoned Trainer, Coach and Change Management Agent rolling out Agile practices for various projects/programs and implementing customized Agile frameworks for large programs program-level transitions.

If the event is cancelled by SNEC-PMI and is not being rescheduled, the pre-registered participants will be notified via an email broadcast and a full refund will be processed. If the event is rescheduled and the pre-registered participant cannot attend the new date, SNEC-PMI will process a full refund.

For any individual cancellations, please notify the PM of the event. Any user requested cancellation prior to registration ending, will be refunded the amount paid, minus a 10% cancellation fee. SNEC-PMI does not provide refunds for any user requested cancellations after the registration deadline or for No-Shows.


In the event that inclement weather is forecast for the time of the event, a cancellation decision will be made prior to the scheduled event.

If the meeting is cancelled, registered participants will be notified of the cancellation via an email broadcast. We will also endeavor to get meeting cancellation notices broadcast by local media. Notification of the re-scheduled event or refund will also be communicated via an email broadcast.

If a decision is made to hold the meeting, our normal cancellation policy (above) will be in effect, i.e. there will be a 10% cancellation fee for any individual cancellation requests prior to the registration deadline. We do not refund any individual requests after the registration deadline or for no-shows.


When you enter the SNEC-PMI event, you will be entering an area where photography, video and audio recording may occur. SNEC-PMI takes photographs and/or makes audio and/or video recordings of people involved in chapter activities and/or events.
