Changing the wheels of a Formula One car in the middle of a race? How about remodeling a blood manufacturing center while maintaining production and quality? with David Becknell

Changing the wheels of a Formula One car in the middle of a race? How about remodeling the only blood manufacturing center in South Carolina while maintaining production and quality?  David (Dave) Becknell has done it. Everyone knows the criticality of blood and blood products to the community. Always in need, sometimes in crisis, blood and blood supply components play a role in many life-or-death situations. The Red Cross is not a company that shuts down for the holidays. Dave Becknell (the regions equipment management and process validation guru) took on the roles of Design Engineer, Project Planner, and Quality Manager in a multi-phase remodel of the Blood Manufacturing facility in Columbia, South Carolina. Balancing project speed, production, throughput, and contamination issues requires the most precise of strategies. Dave will discuss his methods to maintain Quality and contribute to project success. For everyone who has found themselves in the midst of renovations, upgrades, or manufacturing maintenance, this program is definitely for you.
