SNEC Committees Cook Up Fresh Events for Fall
by Deborah Ketai, PMP, PMI-RMP
Question: What do these titles have in common?
• The Story Factor: How Project Managers Influence Without Authority
• Can Agile Help Save The Planet?
• Career Pathways for Project Professionals
Answer: They’re just a few of the upcoming events on tap for the fall from the SNEC Programs portfolio. Our six (6!) committees have been busy cooking up opportunities for you to meet each other, learn best practices, and earn PDUs. This year, two new committees have joined the four “satellites” (the webinar-producing committees that have been around for years).
• In-Person Networking Events hosted its first event in Meriden back in June and is planning three more around the region through the end of the year.
• Higher Ed Outreach builds relationships with regional colleges and universities that offer project management or PM-adjacent courses. We maintain a roster of members who have a passion for guiding students—and earning PDUs for volunteering—whether by participating in a panel discussion, speaking to a class, or helping students build their professional networks.

• We’re always adding new events. Watch for the Monday morning emails (make sure they aren’t going to your junk folder), or keep an eye out through our website.
• To let us know about topics that interest you, good places to hold live events, or presentations you’d like to give, email [email protected].
• Volunteer for one of our committees! Deborah Ketai can walk you through the opportunities and the process.
We hope to see you soon!
