PMP Live Class Training Requirements are Changing

Starting in late 4th quarter 2026, PMI is changing the requirements for live classes used to qualify for the PMP. Live classes will only count toward the 35 hours of required training if they are delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP), a China Registered Education Provider (REP), or an eligible accredited academic program.

Members can still use a mix of live (in-person or virtual) and on-demand content to meet the 35-hour requirement. PMI will provide more details later this year. Any training completed before that time will be eligible under the current guidelines.
