Conference Registration

What is the cost of attending?

Click on the registration item in the Conference menu to see current conference pricing options and to register. Registrations will be accepted through midnight on Friday, April 24, 2015.

Are there discounts available?

For the 2015 PM Conference and Workshops, we offer three types of discounts:

  • SNEC Member discount. SNEC members save $50 if registering for just the Conference or Workshop, and $120 if registering for both events. SNEC members must login to the web site prior to registering to obtain this discount - see next FAQ.
  • "Early Bird" registration discount. Sorry - this discount expired on March 1st.
  • Corporate Discount. Sorry - this discount expired on March 1st.

How do I log in to the SNEC Website to receive my member discount?

In order to receive your member discount, you must FIRST LOGIN to the SNEC web site PRIOR TO REGISTERING for events.

Your username on the SNEC web site is your PMI Username and your password is your PMI password, i.e. please login using the same credentials you'd use to login to

What are the registration deadlines?

To ensure your spot at the conference, it is important to register early. Space is limited and no walk-ins will be permitted the day of the events.

Registration closes on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Midnight.

Can I register online?

Registrations are accepted online to expedite processing and ensure completeness of the form. Please click the register button to begin. We will work with you to determine if alternative registration options are feasible.

Is there onsite registration?

There will be no onsite registration for either the workshop or conference programs. All registrations must be completed online and paid for prior to the event registration closing date of April 24, 2015.

Can I use a form of payment other than a credit card?

Online Credit Card payment via PayPal is the primary forms of payment for the conference. More information is available at the registration site. What is your cancellation and refund policy?

If an individual cancellation is needed, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Note: There is a 10% cancellation fee that will be subtracted from your refund to cover administrative fees. No refunds will be given after 4/24/2015.

In the event of inclement weather for any day of the event, a cancellation decision will be made by 5:00 am that day. If the event is cancelled, registered participants will be notified of the cancellation via email. A cancellation notice will also be submitted to local broadcast media. Information on a reschedule date or refund notice will be sent via email.

What do I need to do on the Day of the Event?

Whether you are attending the full-day conference, the half-day workshop, or both days, parking is adjacent to the Convention Center. There is ample signage with the Convention Center to lead you to the event check-in. You may wish to bring a copy of your registration confirmation email to expedite check-in.

At check-in, you will receive your name badge, parking validation, event program and other items assembled to support your participation throughout the program.

During the event, the Conference Committee will staff an Information Station. Volunteers will be available to assist should you have questions, or if you wish to provide personal feedback regarding the event.

What is the schedule for the workshop and conference presentations?

This year's program has something for everyone.  The schedule of speakers is available by reviewing the program schedule on our website. The complete program abstracts and speakers bios will also be available online as it becomes available.

What are the hours for Monday's Conference?

Registration and a Networking Breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015. The general conference schedule begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.  A post-conference networking reception will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

What are the hours for Tuesday's Workshop?

Registration and a Networking Breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The workshop schedule will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m.

When and where is the conference?

The SNEC-PMI Professional Development Conference 2015 will be held at the Connecticut Convention Center located in Hartford, Connecticut on April 27th and April 28th, 2015.

Parking, Hotel and other Travel Information

Is there parking available? What are the rates?

Ample parking is available at the Connecticut Convention Center. A map is available for your convenience. Also please note that parking is included with your paid registration for the day of event.  The conference center also advertises outside parking for over sized vehicles.

What hotels are in the closest proximity to the Convention Center?

The Hartford Marriott Downtown is located at 200 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford, CT 06103.  It is located adjacent from the Connecticut Convention Center and is a convenient 20 minute drive from the Bradley International Airport.  The Hartford Marriott Downtown offers a discounted room rate of $169 for us through April 10, 2015. Please register for the hotel via telephone, please call this dedicated Reservations Toll Free number: 877-901-6632 and state you'd like a room in the 'SNEC' block. The closest commercial airport is Bradley International Airport (airport code BDL).

How do I book a hotel room?

Do I have to stay at the hotel?

While it is recommended due to the proximity to the conference, it is not a requirement to book a room at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.

Will PDU's be offered to PMI credential holders?

We are pleased to offer a "packed" PDU opportunity at an affordable cost for PMPs and other PMI credential holders.

How can I become PMI certified?

Project Management Institute credentials comes in many forms, with the most well known being the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. More information on training programs and certification options can be found on the national PMI website.

What should I wear?

We want you to be comfortable - business casual is perfect for this event!  As room temperatures can vary, a light jacket or sweater may come in handy.
